About my work

What is susurration? Well the dictionary will tell you a susurration is a soft rustling sound. I primarily chose it for the sound and taste of the word. For me this fits the feeling of my work. My pictures are quite abstract in their appearance and viewers can make of them what they will. For me they have a passive attraction that draws my eye every time I look at them.

They would most likely be classed as Op Art but also share elements of draughtsmanship abstract and graphical design. However you would classify them I like to draw them and will continue to do so. I hope they appeal to you as well.

I have only recently started and therefore have begun by presenting them as saleable artworks for galleries. However whether as large artworks, small cards, business cards or logo designs I believe they can work anywhere.

This site and the pictures on it serve as catalogue and advertisement for the works I’ve currently created. The site was made and designed using some of my pictures by Mark Overy, a talented and hard working young web designer and programmer. If you like this site and are interesting in maybe having your own created I can recommend him as very competent and diligent. You can find contact details for him on this site.

More about the pictures

All my pictures to date are hand drawn pen and ink on paper, most being approximately 15-30cm across. The black and white pictures use isograph and calligraphy drawing pens. The colour pictures also use an isograph pen and either writing or acrylic inks. Each is unique to my knowledge and I will always try to keep them that way. I have so far drawn as I please and find much solace in my work. I am happy to accept commissions and if you would like to contact me details are to found on the contacts page.

Ultimately I hope you enjoy your visit here and my pictures.

Dedications

I would like to say thank to my family for their support and encouragement. Without them I would not have pursued drawing as far as I have.

Also many thanks to Mark Overy for the creation of this website.
